Trial License
With a trial license, you can install the corresponding software on a computer and, after the first start, use it for a limited period of time (e.g. 21 days) without restrictions for testing and evaluation purposes, but not for productive use. All liability claims are excluded. If the trial license has expired, the software can only be started again after installing a corresponding single license key for the same version. It is not necessary to reinstall the software.
Single License
With the Single License you are entitled to unlimited installation and use of software products on one computer.
The license is stored locally on the computer with the software and cannot be transferred to other computers.
The Single License is the standard license form for Factory Automation Studio.
A computer in a fixed configuration permanently performs a specific task with the help of a software module and is licensed for this purpose.
obtaining the license key
Once the order process is complete, the license key you have purchased will be made available to you in a separate email.
license management
To activate the purchased license, enter the key in the corresponding field of the input mask in Factory Automation Studio. You can repeat this process at any time by clicking on the key symbol in the lower right corner of Factory Automation Studio.
An internet connection is required for the initial verification and activation of the license key.
Once licensing is completed successfully, Factory Automation Studio starts and you can begin engineering.
